How to Have a Better Workout by Changing What You Wear

Tip of the Day: Within the community, we share so many things in common. One of the fun, girly things we all seem to love is cute, yet functional workout clothing! The other day, I overheard a conversation when a woman caught her reflection in a mirror in the gym; she said to her friend, “You were right! This shirt fits me really well. I’m feeling myself today!” Her comment made me realize how important feeling great in our clothing even in the gym – is for our confidence. When you are confident in the gym or anywhere else for that matter, you will perform better! It’s great to think about all the angles we can take to looking and feeling our personal best…the clothing we wear in the gym, it certainly one of those!

My Top Three Clothing Tips to Feel Your Best in the Gym
(1) SUPPORTIVE SPORTS BRA: There’s nothing more uncomfortable than going hard in the gym and feeling that you’re not fully supported up top. Don’t let anything hold you back from sprinting, jumping, or giving your workout your all. Finding the right sports bra can be a challenge, but when you find the right one…stock up! THIS is my all time favorite sports bra (you may recognize the criss cross back that is in all my pictures) but if you need even more support, my sister says THIS one is a game-changer and well worth the investment!

(2) FLOWY TOPS: Flowy tops flatter so many figures! As we work to improve our bodies physically, flowy tops prove to be great friends! Plus, a flowy top over a cute sports bra paired with fitted capris or pants is a look I like to rock in the gym and out and about!

(3) QUALITY BOTTOMS: This is where I highly suggest you invest for confidence reasons. I’ve had my fair share of sheer leggings that reveal more than intended when working out – can you relate?? Take the time to find bottoms that fit all your needs and compliment your shape well. In my opinion, you cannot go wrong with a pair of black crops and/or leggings for a staple…they’re so versatile and provide instant confidence!


In honor of today’s tip and challenge, I went on a little online haul to find supportive bras, flowy tops and quality bottoms I thought you all would love!
