ConfidenceKini Body Tip of the Day: For
the rest of the challenge, I’ll be answering your questions in the tip
of the day section, so be sure to leave any question you have in the comments
section below or on my social media posts!

Question: How can I get better about eating on track over the weekend? During the week, I do well, but it’s much tricker on Saturday & Sunday.

Answer: First off, know you’re not alone! I too find it a bit more difficult, but I’ll share what  I’ve found to help! Simply knowing (but not judging or fretting over) the fact that nutrition on the weekend relaxes a bit is incredible motivation to eat even better during the week. Also, I like to workout on both Saturday and Sunday early in the morning simply because it 1) boosts my mood and energy for weekend activities and 2) gives me more motivation to make healthy food choices; I suggest this even if it’s a quick 12-15 minute workout at home, such as jumping jacks & burpees. In addition, I make mental plans for my meals based around my weekend activities…I’m the kind of girl who always likes to have some idea of the plan. So, for instance, on my drive home from the gym, I’ll think about my plans for the day, which helps me gauge if I’ll need to pack a little lunch, eat out, or cook at home: a plan is very powerful! Finally, in Eat Your Way Lean, I teach how to include treats to fit into the food plates we create at eat meal, so you can eat pretty much on plan, but make it flexible to fit foods that are served at the party you’re attending or restaurant you’re at. Knowing how to do that has helped me tremendously! Still, the best thing, is come Sunday evening, get yourself to the grocery store and do a quick meal prep…it will get you right back in the swing of things! No guilt zone!
