My Lifestyle Journal: Wedding Vision Board + Planning Update

I’ve received so many requests for a wedding planning update, so I thought I would do just that and share some of my design inspiration to give you a little taste of my big day!

I think we should consider ourselves very lucky in that wedding planning, for Anthony and I, has been an absolute breeze. The most difficult part was deciding on a location. Anthony and I both live in Texas, but the majority of our guests are from Wisconsin. We were set on a Texas wedding, but in the end, having all of our family and friends there meant more to us than the beautiful Texas venue my heart was set on.
Our wedding will be in July of 2015 in Wisconsin.
We did most of our planning when we were home in Wisconsin over Christmas. I cannot believe we planned a wedding in a week, but if there is anyone crazy enough to take on a task like that, it’s this nut-head right here! In the months prior, I was on Pinterest like it was my full time job, pinning images that looked and felt exactly how I envisioned my wedding: warm, romantic, and intimate. I put all of my images into a document to bring with me to appointments.
I also utilized theknot.com database to find all my vendors! My approach to wedding planning, business, and life has been all about enjoyment; if I’m not enjoying it, it’s probably not worth it. I don’t need a perfect wedding, but I need to enjoy the process and enjoy marrying my fiance. So, for me, it was important to find vendors that were easy and fun to work with. I read over 1000 reviews to select mine based on that and I would suggest to any other brides-to-be that method of selection!

Anthony and I were at 2-3 bridal appointments per day! It was chaotic, but very enjoyable and productive because of who we were working with. I think the pressure with the timeline was actually helpful because I didn’t have much time to make decisions. Anthony was pretty cute throughout the entire process…he was very hands on and into every stage of the planning ((a little too much if you ask me – I even had to fight him over the color of a hydrangea; he’s not supposed to care lol))
Thank you for your well wishes throughout this exciting time in our lives!
If you have any comments, planning advice, design suggestions, or anything else,
I would love to hear them in the comments section!
XO,
Lauren

How exciting! I think when I plan my wedding (if I ever get married), I would like the planning process to be as quick as possible.
So cute that Anthony is being hands-on about it all. I would hate if my fiance didn't want to make any decisions because in the end, the day is about the two of us, y'know?

How fun! I remember how stressful and exciting the wedding planning was. It sounds like you have a lot of it done!
