How To Become A Morning Person
Habit 1 of 5: (( ROUTINE ))
 
 I’ve discussed the importance of a morning routine many times on here, referring to studies that call the first hour of our day the “golden hour” because of the impact it has on the rest of our day. One can better become a “morning person” when he or she gets into a routine that establishes peace and productivity. With peace, comes happiness and confidence, which are two important components to an overall healthy life. Productivity is an incredible, motivational force that can help us achieve a great deal even in just one day. Therefore, it’s beneficial to find a routine that is simple, easy to follow, and has a great impact on your day!
Here is a snapshot of my morning routine…
Wake up to one of my many motivational alarms to an upbeat song!

Whether I’m hitting the gym or going straight to a meeting, I always jump into my clothing first thing in the morning.

Hydration is very important in the morning, so I make a special drink ((I’ll share the recipe later this week)) I also recommend not jumping onto social media or into your inbox for at least 30 minutes upon waking. Instead, I love day-by-day inspiration books, so I read a short passage while sipping my drink.

Next, I either go to the gym or I spend 10 minutes stretching to get the blood flowing and wake up my body.

A steamy shower is the perfect wake up call; I also love what it does for my skin! To pump up the productivity, I bump some tunes while in the shower – it inspires me to take on my day!

Time for breakfast! While I eat, I typically jot down my daily to-do list and set an intention or goal for the day. My to-do list is task oriented, while my intention is more of a feeling and thought I work on for the day. For instance, today my intention was to be present in the moment.

    Love this routine so much! Thanks for sharing 🙂 I have two young daughters and they wake up bright-eyed, but it takes a while for me to fully wake up haha. I think starting out the day on a positive note is so important though!
