Lauren's Lifestyle Journal: Photos & Reads

I love working out, eating healthy, and sharing it with you all. I also LOVE living a healthy life 24/7. Personally, I enjoy lifestyle blogs…whether it be a little bit of fashion, home decor, family photos, or DIY projects. Maybe I secretly want to have a lifestyle blog, but I thought it would be fun to share how I enjoy a healthy, active, fulfilling life in the 23 hours I spend outside the gym each day.
Want to see a weekly post like this or should I just stick to health & fitness?? Take the survey below please! I greatly appreciate your feedback! ((Don’t hesitate to be honest))

I spent quite a bit of time in Barnes & Noble and picked up some motivational/personal development reads; one of them was the book Essentialism by Greg McKeown. This book was exactly what I needed after a week of feeling like I was spinning my wheels, yet not getting very far. Do you know that feeling??

Reading a book by the pool with a little bit of sunshine soothes the soul.
Essentialism is pretty much on point with a favorite phase of mine…”work/train smarter not harder.” I would be happy to share some takeaways as I get further into it!

I took Anthony to the rooftop overlooking the Dallas skyline and we played around with my new camera. Neither of us are skilled in photography (nor do we really know how to work the camera – auto mode is our best friend lol), but practice makes perfect, and I’m finding photography to be such a fun hobby! It was a beautiful day out…95 degrees – my fall outfit is still a little caught up in my Midwest roots

Can we be girlie for a minute and talk about make-up? I am planning to do a long cycling trip and would like to still look presentable when I meet my friends and family for photos at the end. Any advice?

I do actually love the lifestyle blog and you should continue with this. It makes it a lot more personal and I love it 🙂 also, just to clarify, did you mean work/train smarter not harder? Or was it the other way around?
