Tip of the Day: When should you stick to your plan and when is it okay to get a bit off track? Well, first off, let’s get something clear. The path you “should” be on is hopefully one that is entirely defined by YOU! Don’t feel pressure to fit the mold of someone else’s goals and plans.
Here is an example of a snack from my meal plan for the week.
This, however, is a meal I made at Whole Foods instead of eating the above meal.
So, did I get off track or was this meal perfectly acceptable? (Side note – those are organic/non GMO corn chips containing 4 ingredients, which I don’t find unhealthy). For me, staying “on track” is about being able to have one foot on and one foot off the track at times. What I mean by this is do what you have to do to maintain a balance.
I love the snack pictured in the first image that I was having this week, but I was craving some sort of Mexican-inspired food last night, so I did the best I could to keep it healthy, while mentally and physically enjoying. Remember…the best plan is one that you will be able to stick with long term.
