Dollar a Day Training: Circuits are a perfect addition to a weekly workout schedule as they can effectively target several muscle groups in a short amount of time AND integrate cardio due to the fast pace. When it comes to circuits, reps will play an important role. In fact, I’ve found that by varying the reps and weight with my upper body, I’ve been able to pick and choose which muscles I like to grow (ie: shoulders) and which I just like to keep “tight” (ie: triceps, chest); I included reps and weight ranges in the downloadable version, which will really help achieve this as well as my training tip!

TIP OF THE DAY: Ladies weight training does not equate to bulk! I
will admit… I was once one of those girls who stuck to 5lb dumb bells
fearing that I would get big. However, lifting heavy weights and eating
more has helped me transform my body and build curves made of muscle!
There will always be the naysayers saying that girls shouldn’t have
muscles, then there will be you – strong and confident with the tight,
sculpted, fit body you created!
Lauren’s Life: Very rarely do I share pictures of my personal/none-fitness life, but yesterday, my family & I spent the day in Galveston, so I though I would share a few 🙂

Couldn’t resist…

Could not stop laughing at these candids – clearly, my crazy, out of control hair is genetic!
