Cardio & Abs Circuit – 6/25

Cardio & Abs Circuit
Cardio:
-3min walking (warm up)
-25min HIIT (with every interval increase the incline 3%; ex: 0, 3%, 6%, 9%, 12%, 15%, 18% and repeat 2-3x)
     -30sec sprint
     -1min walking
-3min walking (cool down)

Abs Circuit:
-bosu ball sit ups
-30 mountain climbers
-lying leg raises
x4

TIP OF THE DAY: Love sprints? But get a little tired of the mundane sprint, recover, sprint, recover program? High intensity interval training often incorporates sprints (bursts of high intensity) followed by walking or resting (recovery periods). I often find myself sprinting for 30sec time and time again, but try going at a slightly lower speed for slightly longer. Try playing with the speed/incline/duration controls of this workout to switch it up and prevent boredom on the treadmill.

Eat Clean to Get Lean: I cannot express how much clean eating has changed my life and who I am. My top tip is preparation! When you pre-prepare your healthy food and have it ready on hand, you are less likely to reach for the junk or go without eating.
This was my most recent food prep. I’m all about outdoing myself, even when it comes to prepping my meals. I’ve been trying to be most efficient and reduce the total time of my preps. This meal prep, including hard boiled eggs, grilled chicken, ground turkey meatballs, and fish took me 1.5 hours – not bad!
I typically juice myself or go to a local juice bar where the juice is made fresh and cutomizable, but I found this at Trader Joes this morning and really enjoyed it!
