Crazy Kick-butt Cardio Workout:
-5min walking (warm up)
-30min HIIT
10min sprints (45sec sprint, 30sec rest)
15min jump-rope/burpees (45sec jump-rope, 10 burpees, 30sec rest)
5min uphill sprints (30sec sprint, 30 sec rest on 10.0+ incline)
-5min walking (cool down)
TIP OF THE DAY: As a self-proclaimed cardio bunny, I must admit that every once an awhile my active rest day/cardio day comes a long and the usual excitement is just not there. One of the reasons why I love cardio is because it has no limits – running on a beach, tag with the kids, hiking – anything that keeps your heart rate elevated for an extended period of time constitutes as cardio. However, given weather conditions, equipment restrictions, etc., I often fall into the treadmill slump; today, I needed to switch it up, which actually kicked my butt and worked up an amazing sweat!
