Chest & Triceps
Chest:
-wide push-ups (wider than shoulder width)
-flat bench bench press
-flat bench dumbbell flys
Triceps:
-narrow push-ups (keep elbows in, close to body)
-standing dumbbell tricep extension
-cable rope pushdowns
Push-ups are so underestimated; they are the one movement that absolutely kill me & I love that they incorporate my midsection; lift like a boss – no girl push-ups 😉
TIP OF THE DAY: View calories as fuel and energy. While trying to build muscle, it is essential to get in enough clean, healthy calories to achieve benefits. Did you know that most women do not take in enough calories?! Restricting calories will slow your metabolism over time, causing your body to store food as fat in fear of another starvation (ever wonder why weight-loss all the sudden becomes difficult after awhile of restricting calories/meals). Try to focus less on the exact calories, and more on the ingredients in the foods. If they are things you can read and understand, they are considered clean and good to eat! Learn to eyeball a portion size and eating clean becomes much less of a mind game. GET IN THOSE HEALTHY CALORIES!
