A Round Up I Think You'll Really Like

It’s Friday… almost the weekend, so why not do something fun?! I’m rounding up things I think you’ll really like: recipes, workouts, posts and more.

-RECIPES-

On the weekends, I like to make “special” recipes: the ones I wouldn’t typically whip up during the week because of time constraints. I really enjoy cooking and taking my time with cooking, so here is a recipe I make on the weekends to enjoy throughout the week.

Another one of my weekend recipe rituals is to spend more time on breakfast. During the week, I’m all about quick an easy… typically a protein smoothie or something I can grab and go. That’s why I love a nice French toast, quiche or egg meal on the weekend. This is an oldie but a goodie that I haven’t made in awhile. Hopefully you love it just as much as I do!

-WORKOUTS-

What’s better than R&R on the weekend?! As most of you know, I only workout once over the weekend and it’s usually just a light cardio session. When I give myself a break – both physically and mentally – I come back with such a strong desire each Monday. Still, I do like to stretch out (when I remember to lol). This yoga-inspired stretch sequence is one I enjoy doing!

The reason I like a cardio workout over the weekend is because I can do it anywhere and I don’t need to go to the gym. It’s a refreshing change of scenery to get outside or use my home gym! I’m sharing this kettlebell lower body workout because it’s definitely one you can do anywhere this weekend.

– MISC. POSTS-

Because most of us do our big grocery shop over the weekend, I wanted to include this in the round up in case you missed it when I first posted about it. I’m all about organization and systems even when it comes to my grocery shopping list. You can print these out to help make your grocery shopping more time efficient, cost effective and help on the health of what you’re purchasing!

On Sunday evening, I *try* to make an effort to do something that gets my mind in a really positive place to take on the week ahead. It’s sometimes as simple as relaxing on the couch without my phone. Other times, I’ll read something inspirational or meditate. I came across this post I wrote on making space for the positive and it was a great reminder for myself to get into this mindset!
