BODY
Theory: The power of you heels! No matter the size or shape of the booty we have or are working towards, we could proably all agree that tightening and lifting our backsides is a common goal of ours. Compound movements are those that recruit multiple muscle groups to complete, like a squat. But, there are little tweaks we can make to these compound movements to place the workload primarily on certain targeted muscles, such as the glutes. In a squat, a great way to recruit more of the hamstring and glute force and less of the quadriceps is to drive through the heels as you push up in a squat.
Practice: With each squat, focus on pushing through your heels. You can even check how you’re doing with this technique by seeing if you can freely wiggle your toes.
BLISS
Theory: Pay it forward! Remember that whole pay it forward wave: all those adorable stories of people buying the order of the Starbucks customer behind them. One day, I was the lucky recipient of this! Oh my gosh…I cannot tell you how much gratitude I felt and how great the rest of my day was. The next day, I had to “pay it forward” to the customer behind me and it left me feeling even better. The giving was even more fulfilling than the receiving, which, again, led to another great day. You know those days where the closest parking spot just happens to be open, the shirt you love just happens to be on sale and then your significant other just happens to get off work early so you can enjoy a night together. Yeah, we have the power to spark that type of wonderful day for someone else and, in turn, give ourselves that type of day. 
Practice: In some way, shape or form, pay it forward today! Get creative – it can be big or small, the starbucks way or some other creative way! The power of giving will return to you in greater ways!
