ConfidenceKini Body Tip of the Day: For
the rest of the challenge, I’ll be answering your questions in the tip
of the day, so be sure to leave any question you have in the comments
section below or on my social media posts!
Question: How long do you wait in between each of your meals?
Answer: I’m one of those 5 meals a day kind of individuals, and I would totally recommend it to anyone and everyone with, of course, modifications, but especially those easing into healthy eating. Here’s why…I like to eat, but I’m always on the go, so 5 meals a day allows me to have quick, satisfying meals frequently. The benefits of this is that the body feels fueled, light and energized thanks to a meal plan that promotes a health and quick metabolism. Regarding the time in between each meal, that’s where I always suggest tailoring it to your schedule and body. Typically, my meals are between 3-4 hours apart if I’m eating breakfast around 8AM and my last meal at 8PM. However, sometimes if I workout in the morning, my body is craving more (which it totally okay because your body’s carb stores aka glycogen deplete during a workout), so I may have meal 2 within 2 hours of breakfast. Then, later in the day, I may have meetings back to back where I go 4 hours without a meal. That’s the beauty our nutrition approach…I teach you to make it work for YOU! You can get your copy of my complete nutrition approach where I teach you even more about how to create meals for fat loss and a fit body here In it you will also find my top fat loss tip that has to do with meal timing and why I keep my meals from 8AM-8PM.
Daily Challenge: In Eat Your Way Lean, my goal was to teach you how to eat healthy on the go, whether it was packing meals or eating out…do you have any favorites? Share a quick and easy go-to meal of yours with the community! Be sure to check for ideas from others too!
A go-to of mine is a salad topped with nuts, fresh fruit and a protein source (here it’s scallops, but I also like chicken & tuna). It’s a healthy meal to order at a restaurant or to throw in a container.

Being a woman means we face that monthly time when we either cramp, crave junk food, want to spend the day in bed, or a combination of these. Any tips for staying motivated during PMS?

How much weight do you use when you are doing the deadlifts and squats? I know it differs for everyone depending on fitness level, but wanted to know what you use. Thanks!

I love that you are answering fitness/health questions daily.
I have a few questions of my own:

    • Why is it important to pair protein with complex-carb in every meal?

    • I know so many people who take diet pills aka fat loss pills to help them lose weight or decrease their appetite. Some fat burning products claim to give you energy will melting your fat. I am against fat loss pills but I don't really understand what they actually do to the body and why someone should not waste their money on them. Without naming any brands, what is your opinion about these pills, what are they actually doing to the body (negatively), and what are the advantages and disadvantages?

    • What are some different ways you can increase your metabolism?

    • What is your opinion on all these fitness models promoting brands on instagram and facebook?

    • Why does consuming alcohol mess with your fitness goals? Knowing that alcoholic beverages are high in calories, is it okay to skip a meal or consume less calories during the day if you know you will be drinking later that evening?

    • What do amino acids do for the body and why are they important?

    • I consume protein that has Erythritol. However, Erythritol seems to be a great alternative to sugar since it is very lower in calories and gives you that sweet taste without the negative effects (based on the research I have done). What is your opinion and what are some alternatives to sugar that you recommend?
