ConfidenceKini Body Tip of the Day: Circuit training is an effective approach to fitness for many reasons. First off, circuits are a form of HIIT: high intensity interval training. A 30 minute HIIT workout has been shown to burn just as many calories if not more as compared to a 60 minute steady state cardio workout. In addition, HIIT workouts create what is known as an “afterburn” in which you burn calories well after the workout is complete. If you’re familiar with my 30×30 Fat Loss Shred ebook, you know that feeling all too well; when you can’t stop sweating after the workout, you’re still burning calories ((a little more about that, here))! Circuits are also a time-effective tool for days when you’re short on time for the gym. They trick to creating your own is to perform several movements back to back taking little rest in between with a longer rest after to recover. Overall circuits are a great way to turn up the intensity as well as cut down on time!
