Habit 4 of 5: (( SMOOTHIE ))  
We all know the importance of beginning the day with a healthy meal. If you have my Eat Your Way Lean ebook, you know why I don’t think it’s necessary to eat breakfast within X amount of time from waking ((you can read my approach to use the timing of the first meal for fat loss in the ebook)) Still, I think it’s very important that the first meal, like all others, contains a protein source; protein is often skipped in the first meal – we make oatmeal or a bowl of granola and neglect protein altogether. For this reason, I believe a smoothie is a great way to begin your day! Smoothies can consist of any ingredient you like, so they’re pleasing to most people. They’re quick to make, serving as a great grab-and-go option. AND, a simple scoop of protein powder or addition of Greek yogurt packs them with protein!
