#LGKickStartFit Week 3 Schdule

Habit # 14: (( PROGRESS ))
Progress pictures can be a scary thing. We’re working so hard to better our health and our bodies, so why document the parts that aren’t as appealing to us? Well, the journey is everything! A large part of appreciating where you are is acknowledging how far you’ve come. Progress pictures, unlike the scale, can show changes in body composition, such as fat to muscle. I highly suggest you get in the habit of documenting your progress through pictures: front the front, side and back. You may see a lot of people share their progress photos through Instagram; I suggest only doing this when you’re ready, but know that the second you do, you’re opening up to women who are willing and waiting to support and encourage you! #LGAccountability
(( I don’t typically post on Saturdays, so we will work on 2 healthy habits today ))
Habit #15: (( COMPETITION ))
Your health and physical fitness is a funny thing because there really is no competition. Your doctor will never compare your health to the patient he or she saw prior to you, telling you to strive to be better than them. Your personal trainer will never tell you their client this morning ran 5 miles, so you should run 6. No! The comments you may here from you physician may include, “last year you were X pounds and this year you gained X pounds…what lifestyle changes can you make to drop that excess weight” or you may hear your trainer say, “last week you did 4 push ups, this week let’s try for 5.” What you can draw from these two examples is that the only competition that exists in health and fitness is the one of YOU versus YOU! Recognize that and let go all other distractions and petty competition; if you’re working to be more fit than your girlfriend or stronger than a co-worker, your intentions will hold you back. Look at who you were yesterday, and compete with that person today!
Challenge: Set one small goal for yourself this week…something that shows you becoming “better” than the person you were last week.

Side note – Haillie’s tattoo change raised questions on Instagram. I mirrored the second image so that her bicep was on the right side like in her before picture. The only editing I ever do on progress pictures is cropping/formatting. Before I posted, I asked Haillie for her approval on this, which she gave me.

Let’s take advantage of that and join together to kickstart our best year yet.
They say it takes 21 days to create a habit; healthy living is nothing more than a collection of healthy habits repeated on a daily basis. Let’s build those healthy habits and work on building a fit body through a 21-day challenge with a community to hold us accountable to our 2015 goals!
What is #LGKickStartFit?
It’s a 21-day fitness challenge to build a strong and fit body and create healthy habits for lasting results! From January 4th to January 24th, we will build healthy habits through workouts, nutrition, motivation and more to promote lasting results and to stick to our new years resolutions!

Daily Workouts:
Daily workout posts will be made to my blog Monday-Friday; 5 workouts per week will ensure you’re working towards a fit body!
Pinterest:
These workouts will also be pinned to my #LGKickStartFit Pinterest board, so you can see them all in one place and pin them to your own boards! I’ve already created the board, so be sure you go quickly follow my account (here). I also love to pin motivational quotes, DIY crafts and home decor.
Habits/Challenges: 
Each day, we will walk through one healthy habit to pick up! Over the course of 21 days, we will work on 21 healthy habits that will serve as stepping stones to a healthy lifestyle.
Watch for a challenge each day on my blog to keep you engaged! I want you to feel obligated to join in the fun and fitness challenge that is #LGKickStartFit
Accountability:
To stay connected and accountable, we will use social media check ins on Instagram to work through this plan together! Ideas for picture uploads include, but are not limited to: meals, recipes, workout selfies, completed challenges, lifestyle pis, etc.
On Instagram, be sure to use the hashtag #LGKickStartFit & #LGAccountability so all of us in the community can see/like/comment on your pictures! Feel free to peruse the hashtag as well for inspiration from all the other ladies working through the plan! Invite your friends, family, co-workers, etc….anyone who will further help keep you accountable!
Prizes:
We are turning up the incentives with this challenge!
