Healthy Habit #17: (( NOTES ))
I highly suggest picking up the habit of logging your health and fitness progress. It’s a great way to get more hands on outside of the gym and kitchen. The following are a few things that I’ve found helpful to track that you may enjoy as well. Plus, fun notebooks and pens are always enjoyable to an organizational nut like myself! (1) Goals – always get in the habit of putting your goals in black and white. They become more real and tangible when you see them written out. (2) Training – I like to log my workouts: the muscles I target and the exercises I performed. It’s a great way to keep from repeating the same movements and to log personal records, such as for strength, reps, mileage, etc. (3) Meals – I cannot tell you how many times I’ve put down something because I thought, “I don’t want to write this in my journal.” Tracking meals helps keep you accountable as well as helps you draw patterns for what’s working for your body and what isn’t. (4) Notes – I also leave a space for notes, such as sleeping patterns, how I felt during the workout, exercises that I really liked, etc. Overall, I enjoy making health part of my lifestyle and keeping notes is a great way to do so and help make results last!
