Workout Check In:
 This past week, I shared that I needed to set a few goals in the gym because I was lacking a little bit of drive, so here they are. They’re not huge, but I hope to hit them within the next month!
(1) Complete 10 pull ups with no assistance
(2) Hold a plank for 3 minutes
((I have lower back issues, so planking is extra challenging for me, but I’m not letting anything hold me back))

Healthy Habit #9: (( GOALS ))

Quick question…do you think a custom home builder would show up at a lot and begin building with no idea the size, shape, style or dimensions of a home he or she was building? No way, right?! Home builders meet with their clients who know exactly what they want…they have a goal or end result. Then, they come up with a plan or blueprint, so that the builders can begin working. Likewise, it’s not as effective to simply show up to the gym and just work; I would, instead, suggest you set some very specific goals then act strategically! Your goals can be like mine ((activity related)) or they can be physical ((ie: visible abs, more defined legs, bigger biceps, etc.)) Once you have a goal, you can construct a plan that matches the goal. For instance, if you goal is to improve your arms, doing glute workouts isn’t the best approach, so *train smarter not harder* to reach your goal in the most efficient way. Improving your body and mind is not an easy feat, but I hope to show you there are approaches that are less complicated and more effective. Adopt the habit of setting goals frequently, then match your plan to the goal!
