Tip of the Day: Coming off of Halloween weekend ((happy November by the way)), I’m thinking there may be more than a few of us feeling a little bit guilty about our weekend indulgences, so I thought it may be helpful to share 3 ways to beat the binge!
(1) Hit the grocery store!
There’s nothing more motivating to eat well than stocking up on your favorite healthy items. Make a point to get to the grocery store today, even if it’s just for a few items. A refrigerator full of freshness will leave you no other choice than to jump back into your healthy routine!
(2) Bump up the water intake!
It is especially important to drink lots of water after a bit of a binge. Water will help the kidneys and other organs flush out various toxins and substances that are passing through the body. It’s important to remember, not all liquids are created equal; for that reason, I try to ensure I’m drinking about one gallon of water per day.
(3) Stay stress free! 
So, you enjoyed a few too many mini stickers bars this weekend….you will be okay! It’s really easy to let our thoughts and emotions control us, especially when it comes to food guilt. Keep your mind clear of this, stay stress free, and focusing on what healthy choices you can make now.
I’m not superhuman. I surely enjoy now and then, but I always try my best to stay on my mental game. That’s really all healthy eating is about: mind over matter!
