Tip of the Day: Establish positive reward systems! I once heard a quote that stuck with me forever: “do not reward yourself with food…you’re not a dog.” I’m 100% guilty of living my life as a dog when I first began my health and fitness journey. I successfully ate healthy for a week, and I rewarded myself with a day of eating whatever I wanted. (( if you know me by now, you know that included pizza, egg rolls, sushi and, of course, flaming hot cheetos )) How counter-intuitive does that reward system sound?!
Now, I don’t think we should deprive ourselves of treats alltogether. In fact, I think the healthiest diet (( again, when I use the term “diet,” I’m not referring to a restricted calorie type of thing, rather a diet being the food we ingest )) is one that is balanced and consists of mostly healthy items and a few not so healthy options on occasion; it promotes a lifestyle that doesn’t include binging.
The type of reward system I’m talking about it one that may have nothing to do with health and fitness perhaps. For instance, my favorite reward system is: F R E S H  C U T  F L O W E R S ! Flowers may seem like a purchase that isn’t always in the budget, but instead of spending $10-$20 on a big, gluttonous treat meal, I put that money towards flowers at the end/beginning of the week. Not only do the flowers themselves fill me with joy and happiness, but also when placed all over my home, they remind me of the positivity that comes from living a healthy and active lifestyle, which leads me to make more healthy choices!
What are some other positive reward systems you use?? If you’re willing, share them in the comment section as I’m sure your idea will be able to help out someone else!

I am just now jumping back on the workout wagon, 5 months after baby. My oldest son and I used to love going to get two bouquets of flowers to make our house pretty. We would get one for the dinning room and talk about them during dinner and one in my room. It was a nice bonding thing for us. I think it will be a good thing to start again with my (our) new workout journey. (he likes to help me "eck-er-size) I can't wait to read your blogs and get some great info for my road ahead! Thanks!! 🙂

To avoid the weight for being fluctuated, the combination of a healthy eating pattern and vigorous exercise is much beneficial. Cardio, resistance and strength workout with weights are the ideal exercise that should be performed for fat loss. Kettlebells, and body weight lifting can be a good substitute for the exercise aforementioned. You should continue doing your routine after losing weight for the muscles that have been transformed from fats will definitely go back to its previous nature if there is no continuous follow-ups.
