It’s one of the most common health and fitness questions, and for a good reason! We all know the importance of proper nutrition and we are all aware that certain macros (ie: protein, fat, carbohydrates) play an important role in how we get our physical fitness on and how we recover. Navigating through the information overload found on this topic is the challenge, so hopefully I can more simply break this down for you & provide 2 healthy examples of pre-workout meals.
Why Does a Pre-Workout Meal Matter?
Our bodies require energy to talk, walk, and workout out! How do our bodies come by this energy? The breakdown of ingested food is a source of energy our bodies heavily rely on. By putting in proper food items at the right time, we can set our bodies up for a successful workout, making it that much easier to see the physical results, energy boost, and clear mind we look for in a fitness regimen.

Love these meal tips! Thanks!
I love these more educational posts. I am currently a student studying kinesiology and love lifting and working out, so these posts are really interesting to me. There is so much misleading information online about what is “right” and “wrong” regarding workout fuel, and I think what people really need is a simplified explanation such as your article. It’s not about buying expensive pre-workout supplements. It’s about fueling your body with sources provided from the earth, not a science lab! http://bodybuilding-wizard.com/pre-workout-nutrition/
