Tip of the Day: The above picture is not my usual pre-workout or post-workout selfie. Curious why?! Well, as I was about to make my typical picture, I began thinking what I funny habit it is to have the first or last thought of my workout be about taking a picture. Don’t get me wrong, I think progress pictures are one of the most valuable tools you can use to track progress; I also believe in uploading them to social media to hold yourself accountable and to contribute to the online community of individuals who uses workout selfies for motivation.
Still, today, I wanted to change my post-workout routine. Instead of making the mad dash to my mirror or rushing into the next task on my to-do list. I took ten minutes to sit on my patio and just be. So often we go from thing to thing or we’re focusing our thoughts on reflecting (both of which I love), yet it’s nice to take a few moments to let all thoughts and worries escape our minds. These 10 minutes left me with more peace than I could have hoped for. I encourage you all to try it out…just spend a few moments in your car before you head into the house or sitting outside allowing your mind to be clear.
