Tip of the Day: Blood work is an important, yet overlooked tool for insight into your overall health. As a health and fitness blogger, I often get lost on the “little” things, such as the difference between rep ranges or rest periods. While I won’t deny those do have an impact on physical results, our outer health is nothing without our inner health. Blood work indicates levels including complete blood counts, blood glucose, cholesterol, triglycerides, etc. These test results can help indicate how your body is working, so you can take appropriate steps to either keep working in the right direction or begin making healthy changes. Further, hormone panels can provide great insight as well! Next time you’re at the doctor, be sure to not only get the tests done, but also understand what the results mean.
