Walking into the gym, the front desk woman said to me, “you know, I see you getting out of your sleek black car wearing pink and ruffles and I would never expect you to be the girl in here curling more than some of the guys with hardcore rap music blaring out of her headphones.” I love being a girly girl, but I definitely not afraid to chip my manicure on a dumbbell 😉

Tip of the Day: Balance! The
first time I stepped into the gym, my goals were quite frankly shallow;
I wanted abs…I wanted to be fit…I just wanted to look good. What
ended up happening what that I began FEELING better about myself. Those
became the results I was hooked on. When I began blogging, my goals were
quite different; I wanted to help others use health and fitness to
change not only their bodies, but also their lives. Healthy living is
about balance! I cringe when I see individuals sharing
they’re on cardio round 2 or put in a 3 hour workout at the gym. I
respect everyone decisions and choices. However, I enjoy my time spent
out of the gym just as much as I enjoy working out and eating right. I
enjoy living a healthy, balanced life that includes family, friends,
travel, dinners out, late nights, sleeping in, sweet treats, etc. I hope
you can always count of me and my blog to teach you the steps you need
to take to live a healthy yet enjoyable life! With every decision you make in your life, remember this…it’s all about a balance!

Sometimes, I read your blog and think it is crazy how similar we are! I started working out in the gym for the same vain reasons as you when I started. I wanted to look good, have abs, feel fit and look toned, etc. But what started happening, was that I LOVED the way my body felt on days I worked out, and when I worked out consistently. That combined with clean eating is a feeling that I enjoy the most now. Of course, by working out I enjoy the results I get later, which align with my initial goal, but my reasons for working out have really transformed in the past year since I've started doing it. Anyways, your blog is great! I love your tip of the day, I've downloaded some pdf's before and your recipes are great. The workouts are hard! But I enjoy the variety. Keep doing what you do!
