Shoulders & Glutes – 3/14

Shoulders:
-Dumbbell front raises
     superset with bent over dumbbell rear delt raises
-Smith machine press
-Cable rope upright rows

-Wall balls (pictured)
-Overhead barbell squats

Glutes:
-Toe to wall squats
-Cable kickbacks
     superset with box jumps
-Curtsey lunges

Flex Friday – move of the day: medicine ball squats into press. Hold a medicine ball in front of your face. Kick your hips back as you sit back into your squat. Push through your heels to stand up and press/toss the medicine ball up. Catch and repeat.

Fact: I’ve recently found a great deal of peace and fulfillment in determining what I want to do with my life as opposed to pinpointing what I want to be.  
I feel as if we put so much pressure on ourselves to label our career aspirations: teacher, doctor, social worker, hair stylist, etc. I stressed over that title for years, wanting to make my family and myself proud. Recently, I reflected on what it is that makes me genuinely happy: what puts a smile on my face and fills my heart with love. What is it?! My passion is empowering and inspiring others! I run a health and fitness blog and I advocate the importance of healthy living, but I do so because I believe that it can be used as a platform to find happiness and confidence in your own life. Embarking on a healthy lifestyle has been the key to my happiness, and I want to share that with the world. I believe when you love yourself, are confident in who you are, and find happiness in what you have, you can overcome just about anything. I believe in supporting the success and happiness of others. I believe in creating a community of empowerment. Imagine a world where we actually helped instead of hindered each others’ dreams. Imagine the happiness we would all experience. I want my life and my career to be about all the above.
