Back & Biceps – 10/31

Back:
-Seated cable rows
     superset with bent over dumbbell rows
-Single arm dumbbell rows
     superset with wide grip lat pull downs
-Barbell deadlifts

Biceps:
-Barbell preacher curls
-Cable rope curls
     superset with inclined dumbbell curls

Figure 8 workouts are all about building a body with a small, tight waist and curves on top and bottom: curves made of muscle. Back is a muscle group that is not my favorite to train, but I love the results that come from training. I especially like focusing on my lats (the muscle that start under your arm pit, travels across your side back, extending to your obliques). Building these muscles gives that figure 8 shape and the appearance of an even smaller waistline.

Tip of the Day: To splurge or refrain from enjoying?! Happy Halloween! So, as you look at that bowl full of goodies, questioning whether to delve in or not, allow me to remind you of one thing. This is a LIFESTYLE! One day will not make or break you, so live a little and enjoy a candy bar or two. With that said, this is the lifestyle you chose, and you chose it for a reason; while we can most definitely enjoy treats here and there, gluttony should be avoided. The key here is moderation! Enjoy but don’t overindulge. 
My treat yesterday – I’m such a sushi addict and not big into sweet, so Happy Halloween to me 😉 The sauce is orange, so it counts as a Halloween treat right??

Eat Clean to Get Lean: Mid-week
grocery shopping trip. I typically do a big shop Saturday am and
half way through the week stop for a few items I’m running short on. I
pre-prepare all my meals for the week and store them in containers in
the refrigerator for a grab-and-go style. A successful healthy eating
plan is one that recognizes your strengths and weaknesses so that you
can best set yourself up for success! I have an entire blog post
