TIP OF THE DAY: After having noticed the trend towards losing focus/having trouble staying on track
with your health and fitness goals on the weekends. Each day this week, I
will be sharing my personal tips for how I balance fun and maintaining
focus Friday-Sunday. Alright, it’s Friday, so here is my final piece of advice to ensure you make today, as well as Saturday and Sunday just as great as any other day of the week. Change your outlook about weekends. Ya right – how easy is it to do that?! I know this may seem like a far-fetched idea, but I promise you that if you stop thinking about weekends as 2-3 days to lay low, relax, and do nothing and start realizing they’re added days to get ahead, you will find yourself with all sorts of energy and positivity. I encourage a few times of relaxation, but the majority of your weekend can be spent doing productive tasks, such as organizing the pantry (promotes more efficient meal prep), grocery shopping (to have healthy food options in the house), or spending time with loved ones (great for your mental health). This is a game of mind over matter!

Suns Out, Guns Out
Hope you all are surviving this nationwide heat wave!

Daily Dose of Motivation:
The best decision I ever made was to reexamine all the people I let
into my life and cut out the negative. Life is too short to waste time
on petty drama, impressing others, worrying about others’ opinions, or
allowing toxic people to affect you. Say yes to positivity & cut out
the negative.

Fitness Barbie Style: Goodbye dinner/celebrations all week; last night’s dinner look
I’m sorry – I cannot recall where I purchased this dress & no tags
Last night’s surf & turf dinner! Yes, finished it all 😀
I went to the Milwaukee County Zoo’s Sunset Zoofari on Thursday & somehow mustered up the courage to feed the sting rays 🙂

    Hiya lauren,
I've loved this weeks posts as it is so true about the weekends! I eat so healthy and clean, and workout almost every weekday, however I have now realised that I haven't seen the results I want because I let it all slip at the weekend! Starting from not going to the gym, as well as being out of normal routine and it sees me overeating and feeling rubbish and bloated!
Have u got any tips on eating out or at BBQs?hen I'm not preparing my own food I find it hard! Do u drink alcohol? I don't in the week but at the weekend with friends it's hard to say no.
I need to be stronger! And try to exercise as it definitely goes hand in hand with healthy eating.
Thanks for your help and tips! Keep it up!
    Katie Lindsay xx
