Cardio Day – 3/29

Cardio (treadmill)
-3min walking (warm up)
-25min HIIT
     3min jog
     1min sprint
     2min inclined walk
-3min walking (cool down)

TIP OF THE DAY: Never underestimate the power of a good walk! We all get into a mindset of “running is the best form of cardio & the best way to burn calories.” While it is a great way, it is not the best or only way! In fact, my heart rate gets higher while speed walking on an incline than it does when I’m jogging. I love outdoor walks because the terrain is often hilly, forcing you to work a little bit harder!

Sweat stains: cute – no, normal – yes! Don’t be afraid to sweat a little bit 😉
Don’t forget to take those progress pics today. While it is uncomfortable/awkward initially, progress pics are a great way to track progress, especially in terms of body composition!

LOVE LOVE LOVED this workout!!! Interval runs are my absolute favorite and totally kick your butt! Definitely should do more for cardio days!!

I love intervals as well; they're great especially for those who take active rest days because they're quicker workouts, so you really feel like you get a break from the gym!

Love your guidance and your SHOES! I have them too and am on the hunt for the white ones in my size. Oh eBay…you are a blessing and a curse! Interested in trying the HIIT workouts you've been posting, but I'm more an outdoor runner. In your opinion, is doing HIIT work outdoors as effective? Looking forward to your reply & hope you are having a great weekend! 🙂

They are the cutest shoes 🙂 YES – HIIT outdoors is just as effective; whatever works best for you & what you enjoy is the best type of workout!
