Chest & Triceps + Cardio – 1/6

Chest & Triceps
Chest:
-push ups (warm up)
-inclined dumbbell press
-cable crossovers
     -superset with push ups (modify with girl pushups if needed – you shouldn’t be able to do more thatn 5-8 of these; go heavier/more reps with the cable crossovers if these are too easy)
-flat bench dumbbell flys

Triceps:
-reverse grip cable triceps extensions with handles
-skull crushers (pictured)
     -superset with dumbbell triceps kickbacks

-15min cardio

Improvise! I don’t have pre-weighted barbells in my gym and the regular barbells are way to heavy for this skull crusher movement; therefore, I used the lat pulldown bar & it worked perfectly! Do you think my chest was a little pumped 😉 I had a wonderful bday workout with my boyfriend, Anthony and my Polar heart rate monitor even wished me a happy birthday 😀

I am having a wonderful birthday weekend! Have any of you been into a Sur La Table store? We have on at a mall near me & I LOVE their unique selection – these were a few things my mom brought up for me from there – how adorable are those measuring spoons! This is the best “oven mit” ever and that utensil is a scooper/spreader – perfect for some almond butter 🙂
I also wanted to share my birthday card because I am that obsessed with it: most
amazing card! Obviously, as a health & fitness blogger,
I share a lot on the topic of how to improve your physical self.
However, this card exemplifies what personal qualities &
characteristics I try most to improve on! Having a good body will not
bring you quality friends. No one marries someone for a good body. And
at the end of lives, no one will attend our funerals because we were
fit. Inner beauty is what shines through to all aspects of your life;
the quality of your character is what defines you!
