Cardio & Abs – 12/14 (DAY 15)

Cardio (HIIT – sprints):
-5 min walking (warm up)
-20min
     35sec sprints
     25sec rest
…repeat
-5 min walking (cool down)

Ab Circuit (non weighted)
-extended crunches (15-20)
     -slow motion bicycles (12-18)
          -lying leg lifts (10-15)
…repeat 3-4 times

TIP OF THE DAY: When it comes to abs, I typically alternate between two types of ab workouts: weighted ab exercises and non weighted ab circuit workouts. For weighted ab exercises, I will incorporate weights (dumbbells, plates, etc) into the movements; I will provide an example workout on my next cardio day. Today’s workout was an example of a nonweighted ab circuit I do in which I go through a series of 3 or 4 movements then rest and repeat.

I’m sure everyone heard of the heartbreaking & tragic elementary school shooting in Connecticut today. Today this served as my motivation to lead not only through a strong workout but through a day of thankfulness for life; sending my thoughts and prayers out to these innocent victims & their families.
